Alipi comes from the village of Osikovo. His original owners were unable to look after him so they sold him, However, his new owners had higher expectations – they wanted a hard-working donkey and Alipi had never been one. He had to go back to his first owners, who were still concerned they would not be able to treat him well. Eventually, they got in touch with us and asked for our help.
We were happy to oblige and this is how Alipi came to live among his new friends at the sanctuary. Alipi is a lively donkey that enjoys the company of other donkeys. He is spending his days in the valley roaming happily, finally away from work and the need to carry heavy loads, which was never his forte.
