Bucky
Bucky comes from the village of Lajnitza.
His story is quite typical for the region – he worked in a family farm that closed when the business dried out. The family no longer had any practical use of the donkey. Thankfully, rather than selling him they called us at the Valley and asked for help.
Bucky was the first donkey we called ‘the player’, a term we now use to describe donkeys with affinity to socialization and play. If there is a skirmish, Bucky is often at the heart of it. If we see two donkeys carrying a stick, Bucky is sure to be one of them. He is a child at heart.
