Vets in Action cares for thousands of animals and there are always those for who we need to provide shelter and further care. We run shelters in each of our project countries and are very happy when one of our animals finds a loving new home.

There are many organisations assisting in the adoptions of dogs from South and East Europe in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. Vets in Action has a different approach: we tackle the problem with abandoned dogs and strays on the spot through animal neutering and spaying as well as the education of local citizens. With the exception of Italy, we do not have a network, which means that dogs from Greece or Bulgaria have to be picked up personally. This gives you the opportunity to get to know your dog before you take it home.
