Our rescue center in Bulgaria

In Bulgaria, as in every country where the vets operate, we maintain a rescue centre for animals that cannot be released back out in the open for a variety of reasons. There is such a rescue station right by the entrance to the valley of the donkeys. Around 30 dogs can live there while we provide them with the necessary treatment. (Cats or wild animals can also become our patients.) The dogs perform a wonderful guard duty and are the first to greet every newcomer in the Donkey Valley.

Project "Sunset"

Sometimes animals we treat cannot go back to freedom. Be it that they need medication or treatment for life, or that they are disabled in any way. At best, many of them will find a new family to take on. But that is not always possible. Big, old and sick dogs rarely find a new home. That is why the veterinarians founded the "Sunset"  project. These animals - like the old work donkeys - are allowed to stay with us to the end. In Bulgaria, the sunset dogs also live in the donkey valley. Around the three stables in the extensive valley you can enjoy your retirement.
