Mira

Mira is a sweet-tempered, shy donkey that narrowly escaped a gruesome fate. We received a phone call from a local meat tradesman, who said he was unable to sell her and was considering taking her to be slaughtered. Shocked, we immediately went to see Mira and we were further convinced she simply had to come live in the valley the moment we laid eyes on her: standing in the mud under the beating rain, miserable, her days numbered.
Now Mira is living the comfortable life we believe she deserves. She is a little timid by nature so she won’t be found in big groups and needs a little time to get used to others. But she has made a best friend, Murad. The two of them are often seen together, like two peas in a pod.
