Natasha’s owners called us, saying she was likely to become food for animals at the local zoo, so we rushed to see her. We organized the rescue transport, adamant to take her back to the valley with us. Upon arrival, we were shocked to see the state she was in – her hooves had become so overgrown, she could barely walk. But the days of her neglect were over.

The first thing we did when we brought her to the sanctuary was take care of her feet. (Sadly, her case was not isolated.) Now Natasha is back to life without discomfort. She is able to walk freely without any problems and she is enjoying her new group of donkey friends. She is a sweet-tempered animal, always seeking some love and attention.
